Mental Wellbeing
If our mental wellbeing isn't going smoothly, it can make everything else a lot harder to do.
Our mental wellbeing links to all areas of our day-to-day life and can have a huge impact on how we feel.
Things that can affect our mental wellbeing include worries about relationships, work or whānau, stress, bereavement, health concerns and a whole lot more. Not feeling great mentally can leave us feeling sad, anxious and worn out physically.
Strengthening our mental wellbeing can help us get more enjoyment out of life. It can help us focus on tasks better and achieve the things we want to do. It can also make us more resilient when we come up against challenges.
It's very common for people to feel they might need some help improving their mental wellbeing. A lot of us will need some help or guidance at some point in our lives, and it's OK to ask for help.
As well as talking to someone about how we're feeling, there are also small things we can do at home - often small changes can make a big difference.
Remember, it's OK not to be OK.
