Martin Steinmann 


Martin has had a long career in NGO’s (34yrs) in disabilities, mental health, Kaupapa Māori Primary Health, including with a Māori PHO and rolling out Whānau Ora in the Bay of Plenty. Martin has been a public servant in what was the DHB environment for 10yrs, 8yrs as Regional Manager Community Health for Kids at BOPDHB and then Martin and his wife to moved to Palmerston North in August 2022, for Martin to take up a role with MidCentral Digital Services, only to be disestablished in the first round of Health NZ reforms in 2023.


Martin is currently Group Manager Strategy and Operations for Te Ikaroa Central Region National Public Health Services and still based in Palmerston North. Martin has studied over many years in applied leadership and management, with a master’s in applied practice. Most of his leadership has been as a GM in the NGO sector. Martin has been married to Estelle for 35yrs, have 3 adult children; all married and 2 mokopuna aged 4 and 7 years; hopefully more on the way.
